Dog-lead goths 'hounded off bus'

  • Jan. 28th, 2008 at 10:14 PM

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/bradford/7204543.stm

Well as much as I think being uber goth in public in the middle of the day is asking to be sniggered at, this made me annoyed. I also giggled, but then was annoyed again. Strange how things differ so much depending on where in the country you live. I can't imagine that happening in London, or even Reading really.

Dexter

  • Aug. 21st, 2007 at 3:01 PM

I just finished watching the first series. Definitely a new favourite alongside Heroes. Although I did manage to guess most of the plot lines, maybe some of the clues were a bit obvious, I guessed Rudy was the Ice truck killer almost as soon as he appeared - he just was too familiar to not be a major character, and as soon as he said that thing to Debra Morgan about studying the human form I knew it was him straight away. I don't care though, I loved the story, and it's odd to feel sympathy for serial killers - Michael C. Hall is excellent in this, and I loved Christian Camargo too.

Dazed and Confused Magazine shoot

  • Aug. 20th, 2007 at 7:21 PM

Weee long awaited photo update. I haven't actually done any proper shoots this year as I've been too busy with uni work, but I managed to take a day off to do this shoot with sister [info]ulorin_vex for Dazed and Confused Magazine. The theme was up and coming fashion photographers interpreting "this season's most vibrant collections". Some of the preview shots we looked scary identical, the one they selected wasn't quite as scary-twin like and unfortunately didn't show much of the amazing gold leaf makeup we had on our foreheads, but is pretty cool nonetheless. And it's a full page shot in a cool magazine, so I'm happy :) The full set of photos make a great set.

Royal Mail postal strikes

  • Aug. 2nd, 2007 at 5:36 PM

Is anyone else really pissed off by this? I bet half the people are just striking because the union told them to. I dunno, I'm all for fairness with pay and whatnot, but I've read both sides of the story and it seems Royal Mail are doing the best they can - if they don't modernize and this makes them lose more business, jobs are going to be cut anyways. I'm just not sure what the union is trying to achieve, it is clear that Royal Mail can not actually afford to do what they want. If my incredibly expensive Japanese dolls go missing because of this I'm going to be very upset, I'm already waiting on about 10 parcels that were suppose to be here last week :(
